Prof. Ambrose Agweyu
Technical lead - Evidence & Policy Analysis (outcome 1)
Prof. Ambrose is a paediatrician and clinical epidemiologist with broad interests in pragmatic clinical trials, childhood respiratory illnesses, and clinical guideline implementation. In the CEBA project, he is responsible for outcome 1 that aims at increasing the use of evidence by decision-makers and healthcare professional associations for advocacy. This entails;
1. Generating evidence briefs to support advocacy efforts for the other outcomes targeting a range of audiences (influencers, champions, and other key stakeholders)
2. Working with the county focal persons to collect primary qualitative data (KIIs and FGDs) from a selection of respondents, including the county health leadership, healthcare providers, women, men, and youth across the participating counties and nationally to generate additional insights into their experiences as implementers and beneficiaries of PHC/RMNCAH+N policies.
3. Developing a research protocol for approval, training teams for fieldwork and foreseeing the data collection process.
4. Spearhead the preparation and packaging of policy briefs that enrich advocacy tools and that drive awareness, adoption, and utilisation of PHC/RMNCAH+N policies and manuscripts for peer review for dissemination to wider audiences.
