Strategic Objectives

To engage in high impact transformational research activities through conducting medical and social research for improving reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, and nutrition (RMNCAH+N), and supporting in development and management of high impact research projects that contribute to Kenya’s attainment of Sustainable Development Goals and Vision 2030 targets.

To promote holistic health care for children, mothers and adolescents through national, regional and county mentorship programs for health care workers and support Ministry of Health and key partners in development and dissemination of health care policies, protocols, job aids, fact sheets, policy briefs and IEC materials for reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, and nutrition (RMNCAH+N) health in Kenya.

To strengthen national, regional and counties through capacity building activities by developing in-service curricula for health care providers in key areas of reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, and nutrition (RMNCAH+N) health including integrated HIV/AIDS, immunization, sickle cell management, emergency and critical care during disasters among others and identification and/or development of Centres of Excellence (CoE) in provision of important health services across the country.

To engage in high level evidence-based health advocacy and social and behaviour change with key decision makers, health care providers and the community to enhance uptake of available services and educating on proven health interventions. Health advocacy and social behavior change are crucial for fostering healthier communities, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their well-being, and promoting sustainable, positive health outcomes for all.

To create and maintain linkages with government departments, international organizations, academic/research institutions and other important stakeholders for the enhancement of health system strengthening, implementation research, health advocacy and clinical trials.

To provide grant management facilities to organizations and researchers that aligns with Keprecon’s objectives.
