Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies (NEST 360) Project
Beginning 2019, we partnered with NEST 360, an international alliance of clinical, biomedical and public health experts from 22 institutions and organizations to equip health personnel including doctors, nurses, clinical officers and biomedical technicians with practical newborn care skills and techniques as per Kenya’s guidelines while utilizing certified tools and equipment.
Implementation and evaluation of Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies (NEST) program activities is being undertaken through local universities, medical training colleges, as well as in 13 NEST implementing health facilities across the country. The ultimate goal of the NEST 360 program is to reduce neonatal mortality rates in African countries by optimizing a bundle of effective and affordable devices, training clinicians and biomedical engineers, and developing locally owned data to drive quality of care.
